Gary Shupe

Gary Millard Shupe, 76, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, June 12, 2017.  He was born December 1, 1940, in Norton, Virginia.  He was a loving husband and father who will be greatly missed by all.

He was married to Barbara P. Shupe on July 3, 1987, and they were married a month shy of 30 years.

Gary is preceded by his parents, Frank and Nina Shupe.  Gary is survived by his spouse, Barbara P. Shupe; his sister, Jody Amburgey; children, Tim Spires of Pueblo, Colorado, Michelle Shupe-Abbas of Weston, Florida, Randall Spires of Jacksonville, Florida, Mike and Debbie; grandchildren, Patrick, Brian, Hope, Christopher, and Zain; great-grandchildren, Destiny, Nathan, Brayden, Riley, Bryson, Albrey, and Madison; several nieces, great-nieces, great-nephews, and a great-great-niece.

The memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 15, 2017 , at Laurel Baptist Church, located at 2250 Pine Street, West Columbia, South Carolina, 29170 .  Reverend Steve Kittrell will be officiating.  Visitation will be held at the church prior to the service at 2:00 p.m. The family requests donations be made to Laurel Baptist Church should anyone wish to make donations in Gary’s name.
