A service to celebrate the life of Furman Scott Mathis, 49, of Lexington will be held on Thursday August 2, 2018 at the Moseley Funeral Home chapel at 3:00 pm. Scott passed away July 22, 2018. Scott was born July 8, 1969 in Charlotte, NC. He was an avid Clemson fan and enjoyed boating and fishing. He loved the beach and was well loved by his many friends and family. Scott graduated from Airport High School and went on to become a long distance trucker.
Scott is survived by his father, Edridge "Bo" Mathis; mother, Evelyn Mathis; brother, Steve Mathis; grandmother, Hilda Mathis; and his four legged companion, Kosmo.
