Edward Greer

Edward "Eddie" Allan Greer, 64 of West Columbia, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 10, 2025.

Born in Fayetteville, NC, on May 28, 1960, he was the son of the late Gary Elbert Greer, Sr. and Nelda Geraldine "Gerry" Hill Greer. Eddie served in the US Navy and worked with many construction companies over the years, most recently working with 1-800 Radiator where he met new friends and enjoyed working. He was an avid Gamecock fan and always enjoyed eating out with friends and family.

Mr. Greer is survived by his sister, Cindy Loupis (Tim) of Ooltewah, TN; brother Mike Greer (Debbie) of Lexington and sister-in-law Brenda Greer of West Columbia.

Mr. Greer loved his nieces and nephews very much and always talked of them like they were his children, Nieces and nephews, James Myers (Hillary), Charity Myers, Susan Teague (Andrew), Stephen Myers, Stephanie Clak (John), Dale Greer (Stephanie), Jacob Greer, Joshua Greer (Dusty) and Kathryn Livingston (Benjamin); great nieces and nephews, Isla Myers, Charlotte Myers, Madison Clark, Shane Clark, Allison Greer and Lilliana Greer.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Gary Elbert Greer, Jr., Jeffery Scott Greer and sister-in-law Linda Greer.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the 9th Floor Oncology nurses at Lexington Medica Center for their wonderful care over the past several weeks. Also, thank you to our special friend Corinne Blanchard for her ministry and care during the last several months.

A service to celebrate the life of Edward Greer will be held Thursday May 22, 2025 at Grace Baptist Church, 416 Denham Ave. West Columbia SC 29169. The family will receive friends beginning at 11:00 with service to begin at  12:00 funeral. Burial will follow at  2:00 at Fort Jackson cemetery.
