Donnie Allen Moates

Donnie Allen Moates , 40, of Batesburg , SC passed away Monday August 10, 2020. Born April 5, 1980 he was the son of William W. Moates (Joyce) and the late Mary Ann Worthy Moates . He was the paternal grandson of the late Olin and Mildred Moates ;  Bett y Hall and the late Nelson Hall, and maternal grandson of the late Ervin and Margaret Worthy.

Donnie is survived by brothers Brandon Moates (Regina), Ricky Jones (Christa), Waylon Jones (Stephanie) of Batesburg Leesville; sisters MaryJane McGowan (Ricky) of West Columbia, Sally Slade (Todd) of Batesburg Leesville, Michelle Hlasney and Carrie Hlasney of Newberry; girlfriend Alethea Car lton and her son Cameron Carlton , both of Leesville ; along with several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews . He was preceded in death by brother Christopher W. Moates .

Donnie enjoyed fishing, spending time with family and friends, and was known for helping others. Donnie could always been found wearing his favorite pair of cowboy boots, with his cowboy hat.

Funeral services will be held at 5pm Sunday, August 16th , 2020 at the home of Betty Hall, located at 102 4 Samaria Highway, Batesburg S . C . with Mr. Russell Whittle and Mr. Tom Mims officiating. Family will greet friends and family members following the services .
