Mrs. Belger was raised in Gaston SC and moved to Columbia as a young mother to care for her 3 sons, she loved more than life while working at The Granby Mill.
Mrs. Belger is survived by her sons, Willie Cook (Hilda) of Fayetteville North Carolina, Frank Cook (Judy) of Lexington South Carolina and Ralph Cook (Betty - Deceased) of Lexington South Carolina; grandchildren, Heyward Cook, Jennifer Cook Conrad, Jessie Cook and Matthew Cook; eight great grandchildren.
She married
the late
William Belger in 1972 after her sons were grown and had established their own careers and families.
She truly loved the Lord and was a long time member of Grace Baptist Church, West Columbia SC. Mrs Belger loved her flowers and vegetable garden. We believed she could plant a d
ea
d stick and grow until her failing health caused her to become a resident of
J
enni Lynn the past 9 years of her life. She was treated with the respect, care and compassion one affords a queen by the staff at
J
enni Lynn.
A service to celebrate her life will be held
Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at 2:00pm
in the Chapel of Moseley Funeral and Cremation Service. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Edisto Gardens of Orangeburg, SC.
