David Ray Steadman

David Ray (Bobo) Steadman, age 59 (September 1, 1966 – December 4, 2025), was the son of the late Thomas Bryson Steadman, Jr., and Vinnie Marie Price Steadman.

Bobo worked as a tree climber and landscaper with Steadman Tree and Lawn Service from 1982 until 2022.

Bobo is survived by his sisters, Debora Sloan (Charles) of Lexington and Jessica Somogyi of Lexington; his brother, Thomas B. Steadman, III, (Susan) of Lexington, along with numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Bobo was predeceased by his sisters, Wanda Chavis and Terry Carell, and his brother, Billy J. Steadman, Sr.

Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at Mosley Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society ( Donate Online ), or the American Cancer Society (Donate Online), or the SC Commission for the Blind (1430 Confederate Ave, Columbia, SC 29201) in Bobo’s memory.
