Darrell Wade Fowler Scott

Darrell Wade Fowler Scott, born October 31, 1968 in Augusta, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, August 13, 2020. Growing up, Wade lived in both Chattanooga, Tennessee and Lafayette, Louisiana before settling and remaining in Columbia, South Carolina. Wade graduated from Dreher High School and was a very well-respected master electrician for over 35 years. Wade’s personality was larger and louder than life and he was always prepared to share his love for all things Dale Earnhardt and Clemson Tigers! Wade enjoyed karaoke, NASCAR, football and his beloved truck. Wade left no doubt that he loved his family and friends loud and proud.

Wade is survived by his significant other of 20 years, Cheryl Black and her children Miranda, Preston and Taylor; Miranda’s children, Joel Inbody and Jace Black that affectionately knew Wade as their “Papa;” Siste r, Lisa Sarvis; aunt Leasa Dickenson, uncles Steve Fowler and Ben Fowler; cousins, Amy Cooter (Casey), Frankie Dickenson (Joanne), Tiffany Helms (Mike), nieces and nephews Katie Cooter (Lane), Caycegale Cooter, Siraya Windsor, Chloé Colligan (Andrew), Hailey Krabbe, Logan Windsor, Zane Booker, Bella Cooter, Layla Sarvis, Sage Dickenson, Sofia Dickenson Saylor Dickenson; and great nieces and nephews Gatsby Colligan, Nova McGowens, Legend Nadeau and  Sayer Nadeau.

Wade was preceded in death by his parents, James (Jimmy) and Stephanie Fowler.

The family will have a celebration of Wade’s life at Il Giorgione’s (2406 Devine Street, Columbia, SC 29205) on Sunday, August 30, at noon. Please dress casually and practice social distancing.
