Christopher Lee Burkett

Chris Burkett, 59, of Columbia, SC passed away on Sunday Nov. 23, 2014. Chris was Born Oct. 12, 1955 in Columbia, SC born to Karlene Henry and the late Leroy Burkett.  Chirs is survived by his beloved wife Mary Love Burkett, his sister Paula Halterman, brothers James (Ann) Burkett, Michael Burkett, and several nieces and nephews.  Chris will never be far from our hearts. As a child he moved to Annapolis, MD.  He graduated from Washington College, Chestertown, MD where he played soccer.  He enjoyed gardening, fishing and going to the beach. And he loved all sports, especially his Gamecocks. A gathering of family and friends to celebrate his life will be on Dec. 6, 2014 from Noon to 3pm at the St. Andrews Park on Beatty Rd.
