Cathy Odom

A memorial celebration for Catherine "Cathy" Odom, of Cayce, will be held at 4pm on Friday, December 12, 2014 at Westside Holiness Church in West Columbia. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. In lieu of flowers please donate a toy in her honor to Toys For Tots.

Cathy passed away on Monday, December 8, 2014 at the age of 59. Born in Omaha, NE on November 1, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Bobby and Jacqueline Underwood. Cathy never met a stranger, and considered all of her friends as family. Her love of family, both by birth and by choice, will never be forgotten. Things she enjoyed most were making children smile and spending time away with her husband in the mountains.

Cathy is survived by her husband, Larry Odom; children, Lisa (Kristopher) Waters and Clayton (Jennifer) Brown; grandchildren, Cameron Waters, Jeremy Rossiter, Emily Waters, John Waters; grandson-by-choice Nick Rabon; siblings, Robert (Tammy) Underwood and Melisa (Paul) Caughman; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Pat and Danny Chavis; sister-by-choice, Judy Orr Rabon; nieces, Rhiannon Underwood, Kim Sandy, Debra Tirado, April Stukes; nephew, Reece Caughman; many great-nieces and great-nephews. And so many people who loved her.
