Cameron Taylor Underwood Waters, 19, of Lexington, passed away Saturday, January 7, 2017. He was born in West Columbia and graduated from Airport High School in 2015. Cameron spent his youth serving others with Willow Ridge Church and enjoyed worshipping Jesus as part of the Praise Team. If he wasn't on stage for the Lord, he was on stage in school, or serving the homeless at Finlay Park. He always found a way to bring smiles and laughs to his audience and used the world as his stage. He wasn't a "Hey Look At Me" kinda guy yet always the center of attention everywhere he went. To know him was to know his love for Doctor Who, Top Gear and cars, his friends and family, and his faith. He touched lives every where he went and we may never know all that he accomplished in his short time here, but the many we know of are mighty.
At home, Cameron is better known as Bubby. He is survived by his parents, Kristopher and Lisa Waters; younger siblings Emily and John; great-grandfather, Marvin Waters; grandparents, John and Theresa Waters and Larry Odom. He was also a great-nephew, nephew, and cousin that will be missed dearly. He will join in Heaven his great-grandparents, Mamaw, Grandma Mary, Papaw Dillard, Nannie, and Pawpaw; and his grandmother, NaNa.
A celebration for the life and legacy that Cameron is, was, and always will be is being held at 3:00pm Wednesday January 11, 2017 at Willow Ridge Church, 104 Sycamore Tree Road, West Columbia, SC 29073. The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 2:00pm prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to Willow Ridge Church.
