Bonnie S. Lynch passed away on February 1, 2016. She was 79 years old. A Celebration of Bonnie's Life will be held Thursday, February 11, 2016 at Moseley Funeral Home, 914 Meeting Street, West Columbia, SC at 1:00 PM.
Bonnie was born on April 14, 1937 in Central Falls, RI, the daughter of the late Daniel H. Spofford and Mae Harrison Spofford. A very talented and exceedingly creative woman, Bonnie sewed many of her and her children’s clothing, played flute and string bass in orchestras, was a wonderful business partner of her husband, and sold real estate for over 33 years earning several prestigious designations in continuing education and earned the title of “Million Dollar Producer.”
She was the glue that held her loving household together.
In addition, she was an expert small bore marksman, a prize winning photographer, an airplane pilot, and the beautiful and smart copilot and navigator for her husband on their many cross country flights and LIFE as well.
Surviving are Art Lynch, her husband of 60 years, daughters Laura Lynch Rowe of Virginia, Virginia (Ginnie) Lynch of California, and Holly Lynch of Georgia, grandsons, Daniel and Justin Senechal of Massachusetts, and granddaughter, Caroline Selby Schrader of South Carolina, and a sister, Prudence Brock of Connecticut.
She served as a member of The Columbia Board of Realtors, The American Wine Society, The Columbia Photographic Society, The 242 Chapter of The Experimental Aircraft Association, The Civil Air Patrol, where as an officer she served on Search And Rescue teams, and The South Carolina Breakfast Club.
The family wishes to thank the Lexington Medical Center Intensive Care Unit nurses ,Lauren, Mary, Kristi, Rebecca, and others whose names we missed, for their outstanding and enormously caring work in taking care of and comforting Bonnie in her final days.
