Bobby Carol Geddings (Brock), known throughout her life as Carol, of Columbia, South Carolina, passed away peacefully at her daughter's home on September 4, 2026. She was born on April 20, 1950.

Carol was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 47½ years, Ronald Geddings, and her son, Tony Robert Bratcher.

She is survived by her daughter, Kim Belle Vogel of Chapin, South Carolina, and her husband, Shawn; grandchildren Kaleb Krystofer of Columbia, Ashley Krystofer of Columbia, Taylor McDonald of Irmo and her husband, Andrew, and Tyler Vogel of Greenwood; and great-grandchildren Violet E. Krystofer of Columbia and Clarity R. McDonald of Irmo.

Carol was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, and caregiver. Early in life, she worked as a seamstress before dedicating herself to her home and family. She loved to cook, and when her parents were alive, weekly family dinners were an important tradition—a time for everyone to gather around her table. The brothers and their wives and children would gather for Sunday dinner and NASCAR.

Her faith was an important part of her life. She was active in church during her younger and middle years and taught Sunday school, sharing her love of children and her faith with others. She was a devoted reader of the Bible and read it in its entirety several times throughout her life.

Carol spent much of her life caring for the people she loved. She cared for the children of anyone who needed it, and enjoyed having the children of her brothers and extended family around. She cared for her parents as they grew older and later cared for her husband until his death. Her life was centered around her family, her faith, and caring for others.

She will be remembered for the many roles she filled throughout her life, and the lives she touched on her way.
