Billy Mckay

Billy LaRue McKay, 93, of West Columbia passed away on December 25, 2021. Born in Pontiac, MI, he was adopted by Elwood M. McKay and Majorie Parrott McKay and was raised in Florence, SC. He was preceded in death by his wife of 71 years, Emma J. McKay, his parents, daughter, E. Jean McKkay, and son, Robert L. McKay. He is survived by daughter, Melany McKay Sharpe (Bobby Sellers), daughter-in-law, Becky McKay, and sons Woody McKay (Dianne) and LaRue McKay (Donna), 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. He retired from Eastern Airlines, was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and the Springdale Masonic Lodge 412. The family will receive friends at Trinity Baptist Church in Cayce on Wednesday, December 29 at 11:00 with the service to follow at noon at the church. There will be no graveside service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his memory to Pruitt Hospice, 1626 Jeurgens Court, Norcross, GA. 30093.
