Betty Stafford

A graveside service to celebrate the life of Betty Stafford, 86, of Gaston will be held 4:00 pm Monday July 12, 2021 at Southland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday July 11, 2021 from 6-8pm at the residence. Honorary Pallbearers will be longtime friends and neighbors. Betty passed away Thursday July 8, 2021 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Newberry County and was the daughter of the late Ed and Alma Hawkins Riddlehoover. Betty was employed over the years at the Capstone on USC campus, the Columbia Metropolitan Airport dining and the Wade Hampton Hotel. Betty is survived by her loving husband, Roger Lee Stafford, Sr.; children, Roger Lee (Trish) Stafford, Jr., Freddie (Sue) Wingard and Elaine Gambrell; sister, Caroline Crouch; four grandchildren, two great grandchildren and one great great;  grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews.
