Betty Lou Pope White

January 20, 1930 — April 7, 2023

Betty Lou Pope White earned her wings to Heaven on April 7, 2023.      She  was born on January 20, 1930 to the late Charlie Burrell Pope and Elizabeth Barrett Pope. She is predeceased by her loving husband of 70 years, Graham White, Sr., a daughter, Ann Marie, her parents and nine brothers and sisters. Betty lived in Columbia all her life and was a member of Providence Presbyterian Church in West Columbia.

Betty had a wonderful life and enjoyed being the center of her family. She loved her family and they loved her. She enjoyed spending time with them, especially, cooking for them. Betty always made family  holiday gatherings extra special.  She loved Christmas and her home always looked like Santa's workshop. Betty had many friends and loved them dearly.

She was always ready to take care of anyone when they needed her. She was a wonderful caregiver.

Betty had 2 devoted children, Jan Fletcher and Graham White, Jr (Pam) who loved her very much and helped take care of her during her journey to Heaven. She also had 4 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Many thanks to Lighthouse Hospice and The Brian Center and  the wonderful care they gave her.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Providence Presbyterian Church, 1112 Hummingbird Dr. West Columbia, SC 29169.
