Betty M. Kling

Betty Moran Kling, 84, of Columbia, SC, passed peacefully on February 1, 2022. She was the daughter of the late Ernest Lewis and Margaret Olivia Moran. Born October 15, 1937 in Buena Vista, VA, Betty was one of five children. Betty loved being a cheerleader at Parry McCluer High School where she made lifelong friendships and thrived in her studies. Her favorite vacations were spent with family at the beach. She enjoyed her career with Belk in Camden, SC where she used her talents for fashion helping friends and family find clothing for their most special occasions. Betty is survived by her sister, Ernestine Moran Hennett, brothers Donald Lewis “Bo” Moran (Margie), James Malcolm “Mack” Moran (Karen). She was predeceased by her half sister, Hilda Stankewich. She is also survived by daughters Sandra Kling Willis of Columbia, SC, Lisa Kling Tidmore (Dean) of Pendleton, SC, and Kathy Kling Ingram ((Alan) of Mount Pleasant, SC, three granddaughters, Jordan Willis Ouzts (Zach), and Margaret Caroline Ingram and Brooke Madison Ingram and one great-grandson, Hayden Alexander Ouzts. A graveside  service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Green Hill Cemetery, Buena Vista, VA. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
