Beauford Shumpert

A funeral service to celebrate the life of Owens Beauford Shumpert, Jr., 79 of West Columbia will be held Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Grace Baptist Church at 1 PM .  The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 12:30 PM Saturday prior to the service at the church.  Burial will follow the service at Lexington Memorial Cemetery.  Memorial donations may be made to Grace Baptist Church.

Mr. Shumpert passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Agape Hospice House surrounded by his loving family.  He was born in Lexington and was the son of the late Owens B. Shumpert Sr. and Girlie Bachman Shumpert.  Mr.  Shumpert was a member of Grace Baptist Church and enjoyed woodworking and car shows.  He also served in the National Guard for 10 years.

Mr. Shumpert is survived by his wife, Mary W.
