Ashten D. Strickland

Ashten Danielle Strickland, 32, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 5, 2021. She was born on June 4, 1988 in Lexington, SC.  Ashten enjoyed spending time with her boyfriend, Mark Scheibler, and most importantly deeply loved her two children, family and friends. Growing up, Ashten had a way about her that drew people to her, she was outgoing, outspoken, fun to be around, rode her own wave, and was very care free.  She was a mother who wanted the absolute best for her children, beautiful daughter, awesome sister, loving granddaughter, and loyal friend. Ashten is now at peace, she will be deeply missed by all who knew her. We will always cherish the good memories and times that we spent together. Ashten is survived by her two children, Maysen Diaz-Strickland and Layken Cooke; mother, Angie Strickland Jenkins; father, Larry Birchmore (Wendy); brother, Cody Strickland; grandmothers, Jo Britt and Betty Hunter (Danny); uncle; Jodey Birchmore (Joni); cousins; Brantley Birchmore (Brandy) and Austin Birchmore. Numerous great aunts, uncles, and cousins. Ashten is preceded in death by her grandfathers, Lewis Brown and Danny Birchmore. Ashten’s family will receive family and friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at Moseley Funeral Home, 914 Meeting Street, West Columbia, SC
