Anna (Mixon) Epps

Anna Mixon Epps went home to be with her Lord a nd Savior surrounded by her loving family on June 10, 2017 at Brookdale Assisted Living, West Columbia, SC.  She was born o n November 6 , 1919 in Wagener, South Carolina.  She was the daughter of the late William T. and Frances M. Mixon .  She was a devoted and loving wife to the late Jack Epps. She was strong in her Christian faith and was a charter member of Springdale Baptist Church where she was also member of the Ruth Willing Workers Sc hool Class.   She will be remember ed for the love she had for her family and many friends and her delicious baked goods, especially her pound cake.     She loved working in her yard and had a “green thumb” that made every plant and flower she touched bloom with beauty. She will be missed by those she loved and those that loved her.    In addition to her parents and husband she was also predeceased by her son, Lynn, six sisters and five brothers She is survived by daught ers, Ginger DuBose ( Richard), Mary Goginsky (Dennis) and daug hter-in-law Betty Jo Epps . Five grandchildren ,  Rebecca , Matthew, Jeremy , Peter and Anna. She is also survived by a spe cial sister-niece Mickie Bradley, also sister-in-law Jackie Mixon and Louise Epps . The family will receive friends at Spring dale Baptist Church, 357 Wattling Road, West Columbia, SC 29170 on Tuesday June 13, 2017 at 10:00 am . A celebration of her life will follow the visitation at 11:00 am at the church with Reverend Tommy McGill officiating. Interment will follow the service at Southland M emorial Gardens, 700 W. Dunbar Street, West Columbia, SC  29172 . The family will be at the home of Richard and Ginger DuBose at 112 Potters Way Lexington. In lieu of fl owers, memorial can be made to the Springdale Baptist Church Building Fund. We would also like to thank the loving caregivers at Tidewater Hospice, David Miller with Senior Health Associates and also the special caregivers and friends at Brookdale .
