Allison Marie Brantley      March 1 st , 1985 to October 25 th , 2021

Allison Marie Brantley (Clark),36, Artist-Dancer-Philosopher passed away on Monday, October 25 th after a lifelong battle with seizures. She said she wished just once an obituary would show cause of death.

Born in Lexington SC she was the beloved daughter of Perry and Francis Clark who brought an incredible brilliant woman into all our worlds. She will be missed by her brother Dusty Clark, his wife Beverly and their amazing 2 children James and Reagan. Allison always commented on how proud she was of being their Aunt because she knows they are destined for greatness with their wonderful spiri t guiding them.

Allison was a graduate of the University of South Carolina from the Darla Moore School of Business. She graduated in the first class that was focused on being a Business Analyst. Before the day of graduation, she already had a job starting at Colonial Life. Allison worked there every day since her first day and loved the challenge, which led to personal growth and promotions , which led her to wanting to be able say one day "I worked at one company to retirement".

Allison married Jerry Dwayne Brantley in October 2014. They met in 2006 and dated for 8 years then were married for 7 years. They truly travel ed the world together (well the Europe part) . Allison had been to 1 3 countries and had many adventures. She worked in Ireland for 4 months and got to enjoy the feeling in immersing herself in their culture and living abroad . Her being a redhead got her stopped daily by tourists asking for directions. Sometimes she gave the directions in an accent.

The officiant at their wedding (Maggie Davis) will mourn this loss as hard as the family. There is the family you are born with and the family you decide on and Maggie and her beautiful daughter Clara was that family. Allison's retirement plan was to outlive her husband, take all the insurance money , and steal Maggie and Clara and run away to Europe. Maggie asked Allison to be Clara's godmother once and about a month later Maggie found a stuffed hobby horse head in her bed. There was magic in the air when they were together.

Jennifer Dreyer and Nicole LeBlanc are 2 very special people that showed Allison lots of love and friendship. She treasured their many good times starting back in high school. Nicole was there the night Allison met Dwayne and when he asked Allison for a hug in a Waffle House Parking lot at the end of the night she refused. Nicole sai d "Ill hug you" and did. Allison said, " Oh well I guess I will too then " . Special thanks to Nicole for forcing that hug.

A gathering of those who can show up (Allison's phrasing) will happen on Saturday October 30 th between 11:00 and 11:30 .

This will be just a 30-minute gathering for everyone to tell stories about how wonderful she is. Because she is still wonderful.
