A funeral service for Helen McLemore of West Columbia, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 1, 2019 in the chapel of Moseley Funeral & Cremation Service, with Amy Rockwell officiating. Burial will follow the service in the Lybrand Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 30, 2019. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.

Helen passed away Sunday, November 24, 2019 at the age of 78. Born on May 29, 1941 in Leesville, SC, she was a daughter of the late Albert L. and Laura B. Gobbel. She retired from Knights Inn and was a member of the Salvation Army. Helen was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Bobby McLemore and grandson, Christopher Shane Pruitt.

 Helen is survived by her children, Lois Pruitt of Red Bank, Elaine McLemore of Swansea, Bobby McLemore, Jr. of Gaston, John McLemore of Gaston, and David McLemore of West Columbia; siblings, Katie Johnson, Albert L. Gobbel, Jr., and David F. Gobbel, Sr.; grandchildren, Joseph and Amanda McLemore, Ray Richardson, Brittany Hyatt (Steven) and Samantha Valentin; great-grandchildren, Aaliyah, Madison, Kaylee, Silas, Samuel and Mackenzie; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. 

Moseley Funeral & Cremation Service is assisting the family.
