Corinna (Stellwagen) Lewis, of Wagener, SC, entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior on January 28, 2018, surrounded by her loving family and caregivers.

Born October 5, 1965, she was the daughter of Elke Stellwagen, of Bad Krueznach, Germany, and the late Dieter Stellwagen.

Corinna, a homemaker, lived in Germany until 1998, when she and her family moved to the United States.  Her family settled in Augusta, GA, and made her home there until moving to South Carolina in 2012.  She enjoyed working on word puzzles, coloring, spending time with her “four legged children”, and sports.  She especially enjoyed watching football and baseball and was an avid fan of the New England Patriots and the Atlanta Braves.

Corinna was an active member of Eastside Church of the Nazarene in Gastonia, NC, and formerly an active member of First Church of the Nazarene in Augusta, GA.  She enjoyed spending time with her church families and participating in worship services and various church events.

Corinna fought a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis and Epilepsy.  During her fight, she famously said numerous times “I never give up!” Corinna continued to fight MS until meeting her Savior.

In addition to her mother, Corinna is survived by her son; Robert Lewis, of Augusta, GA; daughters, Teresa and Kayla Lewis, of Wagener, SC; brother Rainer (Wally) Stellwagen, of Bad Kreuznach, Germany, many extended family and friends around the world, and many beloved four-legged “nieces and nephews”.  The family also wishes to recognize her caregivers: David and Laura Bryant, of Wagener, SC; and Anne Minic, of Columbia, SC.

Corinna was predeceased by her father, her grandparents, and aunts and uncles.

The family wishes to extend special thanks and gratitude to Pathway Hospice, of West Columbia, SC.  They wish to extend an extra special thanks to Corinna’s wonderful nurses, Donna Goodwin and Elizabeth Snipes, and her wonderful aide, Jessica.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks memorials to be made to Corinna’s Memorial Fund; C/O David and Laura Bryant. Family and friends may call at the residence of Corinna’s daughter’s and her caregivers.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on March 3, 2018 at 2pm at Bethcar Baptist Church with  the Rev. Chris Addy, the Rev. F. Joseph Lennon, and the Rev. Joe Bell officiating. Visitation will be from 12pm-2pm at the church and on March 4, from 4pm-6pm at Eastside Church of the Nazarene in Gastonia, NC
