Timothy Rodriguez Obituary

Timothy Rodriguez, 66, passed away on March 4, 2024 in West Columbia SC.

Timothy was the youngest son of Louis R. Rodriguez and Inez M. Rodriguez Colon. He was born on July 6, 1957 in New York, NY. He attended Saint Francis de Sales School in New York City before moving to Puerto Rico in 1968. He attended the Vocational School of Arecibo, PR, before joining the workforce as a line cook for KFC. He moved with his family to SC in the year 2000. He worked for and retired from Lexington One School System. He moonlighted in various places to assure he provided well for his family. He took pride in all the jobs he held and was a loving and caring co-worker. In his retirement years, he loved to cook for family and friends and his flavor profile was known and desired by all that enjoyed anything he prepared.  He loved salsa music and played some mean bongos in his time. Although his health declined his spirit was always jovial and we knew a joke was just around the corner. He talked to strangers as if they were friends.

He was preceded to our heavenly home by his mom, and dad, and his brothers Louis and Gilbert. He is survived by his loving wife Aracelis of 35 years, his sons Louis, Christian, and Fabian of Lexington SC, and daughters-in-love, Nikki LeBlanc and Nora Jordan. Also three grandchildren, Maddie, Alex and Aveli. His sisters Nellie Brignoni of Ramsey NJ, and Jeannie N. Aviles Rodriguez, of Lexington SC, and brother David Rodriguez of Lexington SC., in addition to a loving brother in-law, Manny Aviles of Lexington SC, and many nephews and nieces, and cousins near and farand his best friend of 40 years Rafael Ramos of Arecibo PR.

Timothy was a deeply beloved husband, father, uncle, cousin, brother, and friend. His passing was sudden and unexpected but quick. He knew that in his heavenly home he would finally see the Lord, his loving mother, father, and his brothers.

While we lost our most beloved husband, father, and brother, many have lost a friend and loved one in him. He has been a rock to many, a master at loving and caring.  There was so much more to him, he loved talking about Jesus, listening to his cd Bible and Christian music. His hope was that all his family would get to know Jesus as Lord and Savior as he did.

We invite you all to share pictures or memories. It was his wish that we laugh and reminisce, and smile together during this time.

A service to celebrate his life will be held  Friday, March 8th. 2024 at 11am At International Praise Church of God, 5071 Percival Road, Elgin SC 29045. The family will receive friends from 10am-11am prior to the service at the church.
