Robin William Hood, 55, passed away on Sunday, September 12, 2021. Born on August 6, 1966 in Columbia, SC. He was the son of the late Woodrow Wilson Hood, Jr. and Judy Alice Chandler.

He was a graduate of Boiling Springs High School and attended Sumter Area Tech and CPI truck driving school.

Robin was an avid fisherman. He loved nothing better than being on the Congaree with a rod in his hand. He absolutely loved to feed people. He was a G-pa to his grandchildren and around town he was known as the P-nut man. He loved life and to listen to a good story. He loved to laugh and his laugh was contagious.

In addition to his parents, Robin was preceded in death by both sets of grandparents, Woodrow and Peggy Hood and Robert and Florrie Chandler.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Ryan Hood (Brittany), and Kayla Hood Brazell (Ryan); sister, Kristie Hood Spires (Bryan); significant other, Melissa Gainey-Hood; grandchildren, Leighton and Blayke Hood and Beau Brazell; as well as his niece and nephew, Jackson (Ashley) and Randa Dukes.

Robin was a Southern Baptist and was baptized in the Congaree River. He read his bible daily and loved to post scriptures on Facebook. His family takes comfort in knowing he is with his Lord and Savior.

Robin spent his last day surrounded by his loved ones and passed peacefully in his sleep. The P-nut man will be missed by all that knew him.

Baby, Your my superhero! I don't really know how to go on without you. 55 is way to soon. We had such big plans yet. I Guess God had even bigger plans for you than that. You owe me a trip down the isle.It sure would have made this much easier. Either way we have a once in a lifetime kind of love that very few have ever known. For that I will be forever thankful. Your heart still talks to mine. I have been so strong and done everything like you said. I think you would be very proud. I love you most! You are my everything and I will see you soon , you said you would be waiting on me at the gate. I'm sure you will. Rest easy.

Kayla, I am so sorry about the loss of your father. My heart breaks for you and your family as you try to adjust to life without him. I am so glad that you all had a close bond that could never be shaken. If there is anything that I can do or help you with, just let me know or have Ryan call me and let me know. You all will be in my thoughts and prayers in the upcoming days and months. He is in God's hands now and you know that just has to be simply amazing!!!! He will be remembered for loving his kids, grandkids and being a good man to all those he could. I am here if you need me, 803-760-8986. I love you and your family.

My condolences to his family. While I only knew him as a customer, its sad to hear of his passing. While I was from the north and a “yankee” he gave me the respect anyone should be given. This corner of the world is a little less bright with his passing. Every time I would stop we would have a conversation about nothing in general and I’ll miss that opportunity.
