Mr. Owens passed away Thursday September 28, 2017. He was born in Sumter, SC and was the son of the late George A. Owens Jr. and Andrina Stoudemire Owens. Mr. Owens was an avid Gamecock fan, enjoyed boating and retired from Bellsouth as an engineer.
Mr. Owens is survived by his loving wife Lynda McIntosh Owens; daughter, Aubry Christine Owens; grandson, William Mason Smith; sister, Carol Anne Lareau.

Linda and family, we are surprised and saddened to see that George has passed. We remember him as someone we enjoyed as we worked in the Engineering office of So.Bell on Truman Street. We send our thoughts and prayers to you all at this time.
